(CNN)Chrissy Teigen is mourning the death of her beloved dog Pippa.
The model turned TV personality shared on Instagram on Thursday that the 10-year-old French bulldog ,which she shares with husband John Legend, "just died in my arms."
"Our beautiful little pippa just died in my arms, not long ago," she wrote alongside a snap of her snuggling her canine companion. "She was 10, I remember picking her up in Gainesville and documenting our trip home."
Paying tribute to her "sassy broad," she told her 34.9 million followers that Pippa "loved her pearl necklace and never took s**t from ANY new dog we brought in."
Teigen continued: "Our road dog with Sade, a tour dog for years. we loved her so much. We love you sweet girl. I know you're giving puddy hell up there. Thank you for giving us your whole life."
Pippa's passing comes hours after Teigen revealed that she had fallen into depression following allegations of cyberbullying.
Reflecting on how the controversy has changed her life, the lifestyle entrepreneur told fans it "just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world" while feeling bad in the real world.
Teigen, who lost her third child in October 2020 following pregnancy complications, went on to state that she feels lost and "need to find my place again."
She added: "I need to snap out of this, I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay. I'm not used to any other way!!"
The 35-year-old star also shared that the scandal taught her a lot about cancel culture. She was dropped by Target amongst other brands after her old tweets telling reality star Courtney Stodden to kill herself resurfaced.
"Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it's impossible to know til you're in it," the caption read. "And it's hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney when you've clearly done something wrong. It just sucks."
